Each drawer and cupboard has its original small brass handles. The cupboards have nice arched molded detail on the doors and inside there are two shelves. The dresser has its original plate rack with molded cornice, three shelves and fully planked back.
It is in good condition throughout and is a clean sturdy piece of furniture. It is not without signs of age and use but this has all helped to develop a beautiful rich patina over the years. There are various marks and signs of age and use, some old splits and chips around the cornice and sides of the rack but nothing detrimental. There are some areas of historic woodworm which have been treated as a precaution and haven't affected the dresser structurally or aesthetically. The planks on the back of the rack have been replaced at some point and are not original but are good quality oak boards and suit the piece well. There have also been some repairs to the bottom of the legs where they have worn down over time. The drawers open well, having had the runners recently replaced, and the interior of the cupboards and drawers are generaly clean and tidy. The dresser has been given a thorough clean and gentle polish and is ready for use.
