French Giltwood Slim Mantel Clock

Description

A slim French mantel clock. A giltwood case with flowing leaves to the sides and the pediment. A re-entrant base with carved roundels. An enamel dial with brass hands and opening brass bezel surround. A silk suspension mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell with outside countwheel. The mechanism is circa 1840 and the enamel dial circa 1900.
