French Empire Mahogany Pier Mirror Circa 1820

19th century
Description

Fine quality and large French first Empire veneered mahogany pier mirror with moulded cornice and deep frieze with inset ormolu decoration. Plain pillar sides with base panel again having ormolu inset decoration on ebonised background. Mirror still retains its original iron hinged hanging loop at back. Original pine back. All in fine un-touched original condition. Good rich colour with fine waxed patina.

Size; 54" high, 25" wide, 3" deep.
