Pair 19th Century Royal Crown Derby Twin Mask Handle Urn Vases 1877-1890

One vase has some restoration to the rim as shown and the other has a very fine firing hairline to the rim.

Technical Description
 
A superb pair of Royal Crown Derby Urn Vases dating to between 1877 and 1890. Fully marked on the base they have gilded mask handles, the body being in Carmine ruby red ground with raised gilt enamel overlay. One has some restoration to the rim, professionally done and the other has a very thin hairline, probably from manufacture.
 
Historical Relevance
 
James Ritty and John Ritty patent the first cash register in Dayton Ohio as ''Ritty''s Incorruptible Cashier'', it was later sold and became ''The National Cash Register Company'' NCR.
