A Butterfly & Monkey Engraved Silver Match Box Holder

A superb and rather rare silver match box holder, assayed at the London Office and dating from the end of the First World War. This delightful and unusual collector's piece is in hallmarked silver and is of parallelogram form. There is a cutaway to the sides to reveal the strikers and the front is engraved with both a butterfly and a monkey. The inner box is accessed via a flip top lid. An interesting and special collector's item. Dimensions below.
