Victorian Solid Sterling Silver Salver

19th century
Description

A fine example of a large Victorian solid silver salver dish with raised rim set on 3 ball and claw feet. It is beautifully engraved with a vacant central cartouche. It is stylish and good quality, weighing approximately 588g.

It is clearly hallmarked for Martin, Hall & Co, London, 1868.

It is in excellent condition for its age. There are some minor signs of age and use, faint surface marks and a few light surface scratches and small dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and displays beautifully.

The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask.
