A 19thC French occasional table with telescopic action. The circular marble top with an ornate brass gallery. The top has a telescopic action which allows it to rotate and lift to a greater height (perhaps to display a bust, vase or plant). This action is locked by a brass collar and screw at the top of the rosewood fluted column. The column itself is supported by a quatrefoil base with brass feet below. The whole piece is well proportioned and extremely smart. It is solid, heavy and stable.
