Hobson May Collection has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The condition is good, there is evidence of historic woodworm, now dead and thouroughly treated for peace of mind. The stool has some earlier restoration to the legs but this is extremely well done and very difficult to detect. The needlework is in lovely condition and the colours are clear and bright. The stool is firm and strong and the springing in the seat is in excellent order. A really beautiful piece with the most exquisite needlework cover.
