A George V Silver Mounted Match Striker

A fine silver mounted match striker, assayed in Birmingham and dating from the reign of George V. This handsome example has a globe shaped, ribbed glass body for striking and a silver collar surrounding the match reservoir. A good collector's item. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent with no cracks or chips to the glass body. The silver collar has a couple of pinprick blemishes and knocks, commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Readable but soft.
