Antique Swedish Biedermeier secretaire chest of drawers in excellent original condition & with a beautifully patterned flame mahogany running down the front. It has seven drawers including the secretaire compartment & a cushioned top. There are turned ebonised columns on the front edges & the paw feet are also ebonised. The secretaire compartment provides a decent writing surface & there are three smaller drawers inside. I don’t think people generally use the writing surface these days, but this item does look great with the secretaire left open & it can have other uses. I would date this piece to around the 1850’s period & I’m fairly sure it’s Swedish, although let’s say Scandinavian to be on the safe side. There is a key for the secretaire drawer which should work all the drawers. I need to check if we have more keys. If not we will get more some cut.
