Good Quality Mahogany Cylinder Bureau Bookcase

Description

A good quality 19th.Century figured mahogany cylinder bureau bookcase. The bookcase section having a moulded cornice above the arched and glazed doors which open to reveal the 2 adjustable shelves. The barrel shaped cylinder opens when the slide is pulled forward (see photo) to a well fitted interior consisting of 4 drawers, 5 pigeonholes and a secret drawer released by a hidden catch. The writing slide retaining the original tooled green leather with 3 drawers below. The pedestals each have 3 drawers with applied mouldings, turned pulls and off set plinth bases. Condition and patina - Very good with working locks and keys. Dimensions:- Height…72.75’’/ 184cm. Width…42’’/ 106cm. Max.Depth…24.25’’/ 62cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £85
