Description

Spectacular mid 19th.c. mahogany king size double bed c.1850. Serpentine half tester canopy over a seven feet tall upholstered headboard. To take a 66" x 78" extra-wide king size bed base and mattress (not included but these can be supplied if required). Shaped foot board with moulded top rail, raised panels and a decorative ormolu mount to the apron. Flanked with a fine pair of segmented and carved mahogany columns with turned finial and raised on turned bun feet. Sturdy 2½" x 5" pine side rails, coloured to match and double bolted at both the head and foot. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops, the canopy and headboard have been freshly upholstered in a soft grey chenille. Dissasembles for ease of delivery.
