Early 19th Watercolour Miniature Portrait of a Gentleman C1820

Description

Interesting early 19thC watercolour miniature of a gentleman, named on the reverse as James Drumgold (born 1791) and painted by H Taylor, 7 Nottingham Street, Marylebone. On a turquoise blue background, James wears a navy overcoat with black collar, black waistcoat and stock, over a white shirt, which suggests the date to be c1820. The frame may be of later date - the backpaper was fixed a very long time ago. Good original condition.
