Georgian Silver Snuff Box 1818

Description

This Superb GEORGIAN SILVER SNUFF BOX was made by the well-known silversmith John Shaw in 1818.

A superb quality Silver Snuff Box of oblong form with hinged lid wonderfully engraved decoration, a blank central cartouche to the lid which has a floral thumb piece. Inside this fabulous Georgian Silver Snuff Box retains the original gilt coating.

In excellent condition despite being over 200 years old, this superb Snuff Box is a real collector’s piece and would enhance any collection.

Used / Excellent

There is no damage and no repairs.

Length – 2.25” (57mm) / Width – 1.5” (37mm) / Height – 0.75” (18mm)
