It has its original antique mirror plate with some signs of age, wear and foxing.
The mirror was originally an unusual 'rise and fall' mirror on a sash window type mechanism. The handle at the top of the mirror would have moved it up and down and the urn finials come off and there is thick cord inside the uprights. At some point in its life it has been converted very well to a swinging cheval instead.
It is in good conditon for its age and is strong and sturdy. There are some minor signs of age and use, some knocks and small old splits but nothing detrimental. The castors have been replaced at some point but run well and it displays beautifully.
