Description

A stunning pair of large antique shell cameo earrings, the photos don't do them justice! Two high-relief portraits, facing one another, carved in painstaking detail by a skilled craftsman. The solid rose gold frames, unmarked but a minimum nine-carat gold, are formed of multiple papyrus-shaped motifs interspersed with tiny gold balls.

Being natural shell, the cameos vary slightly in colour, though less so in real life than in the photographs.

In excellent antique condition, no chips or cracks.

Size: 2.7 x 2.4cm, 3.2cm total drop.
