Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The blunderbuss with a flared steel barre, topped y a hinged and sprung bayonet.
The trigger within a scrolled and dished trigger guard finished with leaf and pineapple finials. The full walnut stock with a finely hatched grip, the underside with pipes holding the ram rod. The butt finished with a butt plate, held with engraved screws.

Both the metal work and walnut with a very good patination. The mechanism and sprung bayonet working correctly and well.
