Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1750s.
The wine cooler with rounded rim, to the oval body. The body tapering slightly inward and downward, within broad brass bands. The body mounted to either end with substantial brass carrying handles, the interior lead lined.
The whole of good hard mahogany, and in very good original condition.
Date circa 1780.
