Edwardian Sapphire & Diamond Five Stone Ring, Circa 1910

Description

A super sapphire and diamond five stone ring. The unheated cushion cut sapphire in the centre displays the perfect cornflower blue, and is flanked on either side by a pair of white and clean old cut diamonds, with a further two sapphires at either end completing the half-hoof of gems. The impressively crafted gallery features a pair wide, triangular vents either side, leading to ornately carved shoulders. A unique expression of a classic antique style.

Cut – The centre sapphire is a cushion cut, with round sapphires and old cut diamonds either side.

Colour – The diamonds are G.

Clarity – The sapphires are clean to the naked eye. The diamonds are VS2 and SI2 respectively.

Carat – The centre sapphire is approximately 0.30 carat, with a further approximate 0.10 carat of sapphire. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.07 carat.

Circa – 1910.

Measurements – From one outer sapphire to the other is 13.9mm. The ring is 6.6mm at the widest point and sits 3.4mm from the finger.

Size – M (UK) or 6 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Metal – 18k yellow gold. Hallmarked.
