A French Gilt Console Table and Mirror

1900 - 1920
Description

A French gilt console table and mirror. The upper mirror section having a finely carved and gilded ribbon cartouche above a floral garland and bevelled mirrors with a rope-twist carved border. The lower section having a marble top with serpentine ends above a classical guilloche frieze and having further carved floral garlands beneath. The whole raised on acanthus leaf carved and fluted supports united by a shaped under tier and a central carved urn. French circa 1900

Dimensions: Base 34" high x 18" deep x 47" wide Mirror 44" wide at bottom x 40" high (total height 74")

Condition: This console table is in superb original condition, one old repair to the edge of the marble.
