Silver Inkwell – Edwardian 1902

1900 - 1920
Description

This superb EDWARDIAN SILVER INKWELL is of plain circular form with a reeded base rim.

The cut glass inkwell, which has a star cut base, is covered by the solid silver shell which has a hinged flip lid. The silver shell is fixed to the glass on the underside by way of a solid silver bracket.

Made by the well-known and sought after silversmiths of Mappin Brothers, this lovely Silver Inkwell is in excellent condition with little sign of use or wear and would look stunning on any desk or in any collection.

Condition:

Used / Excellent

There is no damage and no repairs.

Dimensions:

Diameter – 3.375” (86mm) / Height – 1.5” (38mm)

Weight – 185gm / 5.96ozt (incl. glass insert)
