~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A stunning original antique French Rococo clock.
Panels backed with red fabric lighten the design and the rear door is glazed to allow the movement to be seen. The integral base is polished to allow a reflection of the pendulum gently swinging to be seen.

The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with finely fretted gilt brass hands. It is signed for the retailer Brulfer of Paris. The front and rear bezels are glazed with convex glass and the clock is decorated in the round allowing you to display on a table or in front of a mirror.

The French movement is by Japy Frères and is of high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video clip of the clock running that we can send you, please ask.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration and there are no losses. The dial is also in excellent condition just some nibbles next to the winding holes.

Japy Freres mark on the movement back plate along with a mark for the case maker (this is also mark on the bezel).
Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
