Exceptional Persian Isfahan Carpet, Circa 1900, 4.16m X 3.10m

Description

This carpet has been woven with the most wonderful velvety wool. The pile shimmers in shades of terracotta, blue and a lovely light green. The design is elegant and restrained. Note the delicate drawing of the medallion and the flowering tendrils surrounding it. In excellent condition, this is a wonderful piece from the revivalist period of Persian weaving in the late 19th century. professionally cleaned and ready for immediate use.
