Philip Carrol Antiques has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
Decorated in iron-red, yellow, green, light blue, aubergine and black enamels, and gilt on underglaze blue, the interior with a central roundel containing fish swimming amongst weeds, surrounded by a broad band of chrysanthemum and meander design. A further textile motif to the rim.
Having a footrim , with an underglaze blue whorl design.

Underglaze blue concentric circles to the base, within an unglazed foot rim.
Diameter - 36 cm, 14 1/4”.
Height - 18 cm, 7 1/8”.
Condition - Typical minor wear to the enamel and the gilding. No damage. No restoration.
