Breathtaking piece of history. This emerald and diamond cluster ring has a majestic setting, with an ornate and open 18ct gold gallery standing an impressive 7mm from finger.
Showcasing an emerald of 1.03ct in a rectangular cut shape surrounded by the most beautiful brilliant diamonds. Here you have 1.20cts of diamonds of excellent quality and brilliance. Only one having a lovely inclusion which is visible the the (very eagle) eye. All diamonds are clear and well matched, with grading estimated to be between G-H colour and VS2-SI1 clarity.
Take particular note to the similarly cut diamonds around the shoulders of the ring as well as the grooved band which is only slightly out of shape (see picture) and hallmarks have been rubbed with wear.
The ring weighs 4.8 grams and the band and setting are both strong and with many generations of joy yet to give.
This ring is of English provenance and we estimate it to be made at some point during Early to Mid 1900.
What a stunning ring which would make an absolutely fabulous engagement or anniversary ring.
Your antique ring is in superb condition for its age and will arrive beautifully presented in a luxury Chains of Gold box.
