Antique 9ct Rose Gold Hardstone Cameo Ring

Description

We don't know the identity of this noble chap but he is beautifully carved atop this magnificent antique ring.

The carved hardstone plaque, likely agate, is set into a high rose gold mount set on a yellow gold shank with bifurcated shoulders. The plain but elegant setting really lets the cameo speak for itself.

While this handsome piece may originally have been destined for a Victorian or Georgian gentleman's pinky, it makes an equally stunning 21st-century cocktail ring!

In excellent antique condition; there are no chips, cracks or damage.

Stamped 9CT inside the shank.

Size: S (UK), 9 (US).

The cameo measures 1.6 x 2cm. The band is 3mm wide at the back and the face of the ring sits around 8mm above the finger.

Weight: 6.7g.
