This is an antique pedestal desk. An English, Oak cabinet dating to the Georgian period of the late 18th century, circa 1800.

Superb Georgian craftsmanship

Displays a desirable aged patina

Select oak stocks with dark hues and fine grain interest

Carved detail abounds

Generous counter top with tiered crown moulding

A suite of 3, field panel drawers

Each drawer dressed with small drop handles, with pierced brass back plates

Drawers benefit from impressive, quality dovetail joints

Cabinet door for each pedestal with fine carving

Shield with raised beading featuring a circular chipped design and matching patera

Dressed with brass, pierced escutcheons with working locks – key present

Raised upon a quartet of bun feet to each pedestal
