An impressive mid 18thc Oak lidded chest with drawers, sometimes known as a ''Marriage'' or ''Dowry'' chest....it has the original hinges, a fine colour and is in excellent original condition....it is a lovely quality piece of ''country '' furniture and even has secret drawers hidden between the two top short drawers.
English. C1740-60.
