A wonderful quality bronze okimono depicting Hotei with his staff on his shoulder carrying his sack of wealth.
Hotei being one of the lucky Gods , is a reasonably common subject in Japanese sculpture , but this is an exceptional casting by a major artist .
The staff is removable .
