Grandmother Clock with Westminster Quarter Chimes

1920 - 1940
Description

A small 'Grandmother clock'. An oak case with an arched hood pediment and chamfered sides. A recessed trunk door with chamfered sides. A base moulding and standing on bun feet. An arched brass and silvered dial with corner spandrels. 'Tempus Fugit' engraved silvered boss to the dial arch. Blued steel hands and strike/silent levers for the hour and quarters. A triple weight driven mechanism on chains of 8-day duration. Gong rods to strike the quarters and hours.
