Lovely Malacca and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane.
The pommel to the top is a beautifully grained amethyst ball.
The silver was assayed in London as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1917
and makers mark for Thomas Davis, stick maker of Avebury Street, Hoxton, London.
The shaft is Malacca with good colour, the golden tones match well with the brown tones in the amethyst.
It measures 92.5 cm 36 1/2 inches in length, the pommel is 4.7 cm 1 13/16 inches wide.
The ferrule is original and made of cast brass.
It's in excellent condition but with some signs of age and
use as you'd expect at this age.
The silver is in excellent condition with no splits, holes, damage or repairs.
Some minor surface dinks and marks as you'd expect.
The shaft is really strong, it will support a good deal of weight.
