A Very Elegant Art Deco “Celestial Dragon” Pattern Lustre Bowl of compact proportions and octagonal form by Daisy Makeig-Jones. Circa 1920-30.
This finely made ceramic bowl is a derivative of her renowned “Fairyland Luster” series which portrays Chinese Dragons chasing flaming pearls around the outer body and lavish gilt Greek Key decoration to foot and top rim. The interior with a multicolour ground also depicting Dragons with a central base roundel in colours with gilt.
Print gilt base mark and pattern number Z4829.
Condition: Superb condition with no imperfections, nice clear markings, see images.
