Set of 8 Antique French Provincial Dining Chairs

Description

Set of 8 antique French provincial dining chairs, including 2 carvers with cane seats & backs, all in good original condition & dating to around the 1890-1910 period. All the cane work is in good condition & so is the wood, which I believe is beech. These chairs have shaped high backs, scroll over arms & shaped front cabriole legs with cross stretchers between the legs. They are just as we obtained them & we just gave them a gentle polish. I think they would benefit from loose seat cushions which would give more comfort & look quite nice.

Height -45 inches, 115 cm

Side chairs:

Width – 20 inches, 51 cm

Depth – 21 inches, 54 cm

Height -45 inches, 115 cm

Seat height – 18 inches, 46 cm
