Description

An impressive early C20th large pair of Japanese bronze cranes; life size with a verdigris patination; realistically sculptured with detailed feathers, scaled legs and webbed feet. The large male bird standing alert with his neck and head raised; the female with her neck arched in a pruning position. The underside of the feet have the unusual and useful feature of iron stakes to go into the ground to hold firm.
