A Charming All Silver Victorian Scent Bottle

Description

A Victorian all silver ribbed scent bottle. The domed lid is hinged and to the inside is a fitted glass bottle with original stopper. The cartouche to the lid features the script initials 'AB'. Full hallmarks are found to the side of the body with part marks to the collar and base. A lovely collector's piece, both decorative and usable. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good. There is one small bruise to the body and a small area of flattening to one side of the base. The lid also has some very minor bruises. All commensurate with age and use. The glass bottle is in excellent condition, the stopper has one small flea bite. All can be seen in the photographs.

Hallmarks :- Birmingham 1889.

Maker :- C C May & Sons.

Height :- 5.5 cms.

Diameter :- 2 cms. (widest point)
