Beautiful classic painting by Robert Jobling on the beach at Cullercoates between Tynemouth and Whitley Bay in North East England. Set at the end of the morning's fishing with the catch landed and the boats being sorted, there's time for a biscuit for the little girl on the edge of the Cobble boat on her mum's lap. These cobble boats are a type of open traditional fishing boat with flat bottom and high bow which developed on the North East coast of England for launching and landing on sandy beaches.
This painting is in superb condition in an excellent frame and signed lower right.
