Chinese Ancestor Portrait Painting C1890

Description

This CHINESE ANCESTOR PORTRAIT PAINTING, mounted in an OAK frame, dates from circa 1890.

The back is covered with sheets from a newspaper dating from 1946 which appears to have been in place since that time and, as a consequence of the painting not having been disturbed, there are some marks on the inside of the glass and a small crack to the very top of the left hand corner (as seem from the front).
