Description

A Set of Early 19th Brass and Burnished Steel Fire Tools, comprising a shovel, pair of tongs, and a poker.

Each with a brass handle, topped by a flower bud finial, above a square collar decorated with flower filled ovals. The bodies with slightly concave pane, filled with rising flower heads. The steel shanks running to the square tapered poker, heart shaped tongs, and pear shaped shovel, with raised sides and a foliate decorated centre.

Date circa 1800.
