The top section with a cresting bar , centred by a well-detailed carved dragon’s mask , the uprights and supports with carved and gilded detail.
The body of the stand decorated in deep purple lacquer and aged gilding , the mask with parcel-gilt and painted details.

The polished bronze circular gong with a boss or nipple centre , this type of gong producing a tuned note when struck , as opposed to the ‘crashed‘ note of a flat surfaced hanging gong .
Supplied with 2 original striking ‘hammers’, which create an excellent deep ,resonating atmospheric tone from the gong when struck .
