Description

A beautifully constructed openwork long finger ring showcasing a stunning pink sapphire at its centre, bezel set in 15-carat yellow gold and framed with old rose-cut diamonds mounted in silver.

The sapphire has a natural inclusion which is visible if you look closely inside the back of the ring.

There are no hallmarks but the ring has been fully tested. Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and as this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces, it is attractive to collectors.

Size: O (UK), 7-7.5 (US).

The face of the ring measures 2.7 x 2cm, the sapphire is approx 9 x 6mm.

Weight: 4.7g.
