Description

A 19th Century Mahogany Miniature Chest.

The chest with a cross banded faced top, above ionic columns flanking an ogee cushion front drawer, and thence an arrangement of pairs of short drawers, flanking a bonnet drawer, above three long graduated drawers. The drawers with excellent figure mahogany veneers, surrounded by cockbeaded edges, the drawers with brass knob handles, and key hole escutcheons. The lower frieze likewise veneered in figured mahogany. The chest standing on tapered ball feet.

Date circa 1850.
