Description

Fabulous mid 19th.c. chaise longue or daybed c.1860. One raised end, shaped and sprung to make a very comfortable backrest and a raised side with swept end and rollover top. Sprung seat, rounded at the foot end and with a pleated skirt. Raised on turned mahogany legs with period white ceramic castors. Beautifully upholstered in a duck egg blue and gold patterned woven damask with piped edges. Tiny rust spots to the fabric above the skirt, otherwise excellent condition.
