A splendid 19th century Black Forest carved wood match striker in the form of an owl with glass eyes perched on a textured branch next to an inset brass bowl, the textured wood would be for striking a match and the bowl for the spent matches. This fine carving is in excellent overall condition and measures 6 inches in length.
