Description
An early 19th century George IV sterling silver snuff box. The box has an engine turned (Guilloche) decoration on the outside and is gilded on the inside. The box is hall marked on the inside of the hinged lid and the base interior for Birmingham, along with a George IV head and the maker Thomas Shaw. The snuff box is in good condition with some wear to the gilt interior. Weight: 2oz, 56 gram (Circa 1828-1829) Height 1.8cm (0.7 inches) Length 6.6cm (2.6 inches) Depth 4.4cm (1.7 inches) This item has a level ONE shipping charge.
