Long Low Sheraton Style Gentleman’s Clothes Press C.1905.

Description

Fabulous quality long mahogany gentleman’s clothes press by the celebrated cabinet makers Waring & Gillow c.1905. Unusual dimensions, nearly 7'8" long but only 4'6" tall. Large two door linen press with four sliding shelves and a good deep drawer in the base. Flanked on both sides with two small drawers and single door cupboards fitted with shelves. Polished top at useful shelf height with a moulded edge and inlaid dental frieze. Stunning Sheraton style flame mahogany door and drawer fronts, the veneers laid in a symmetrical pattern with fine inlaid stringing onto solid mahogany groundwork. Original brass handles. Solid mahogany sides and drawer linings. Maker’s label inside the right hand centre door. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied for the centre door. Splits into five sections plus top and plinth for ease of delivery.
