A Magnificent Georgian Revival Silver Pint Tankard

A magnificent silver Georgian revival full size tankard, dating from the 1880's. This handsome piece is of excellent quality, the silver being of a heavy gauge. The tankard is modelled in the Georgian style, as tastes began to move away from the highly decorated towards the more restrained designs of the 18th/early 19th Century.

The body is decorated with twin bands of engraved reeding. The handle has a charming shaped kick to the bottom and the base is stepped. The interior retains the original rich gilding. A superb quality piece, in fantastic condition. Dimensions below.
