Description

Quality late 19th.c. walnut and marble top washstand c.1895. Original white marble top with a raised splashback featuring a delightful run of five original tiles by Minton decorated with a crane type bird within a flowering trellis pattern border. Walnut base with three drawers and three cupboards, the centre door recessed to form a shallow kneehole. With simple moulded detail to the drawer fronts and uprights, the doors with an attractive carved flower head roundel of Arts and Crafts or Aesthetic Movement influence. Retaining the original brass handles. With a filled repair to the front edge of the marble, otherwise excellent condition and colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
