Description

A superb quality Miles and Edwards Rosewood Slipper Chair of a large scale. This beautiful chair having a strong frame which has been stripped back to calico and now ready for a new top coat. Raised on Rosewood legs with the original brass cup castors. Stamped "Miles and Edwards, 134 Oxford St, London" . English, Circa 1830.

*Henry Miles and John Edwards established their business in 1822, in 1829 they were listed as designers and manufacturers of superior furniture. Charles Hindley and Sons took over the business in 1844.
