Description

George II walnut longcase clock by Nathanial Seddon, St. James.

Nathanial Seddon was a maker f great repute and is listed in Baillie as working in St James in 1729.

The classic slim walnut case has a straight hood with fine blind fret decoration to the upper corners. The glazed door opens to allow you to wind the clock through the 2apertures in the clock dial.

The brass dial with fine quality cast spandrels and a silvered chapter ring, an applied makers nameplate and a date aperture.

The longcase clocks trunk with the moulded long door that open to reveal the weights and the pendulum.

This majestic clock runs for 8 days and so you can enjoy winding it with the crank key once a week.
