Description

Antique Late Victorian Carved Oak Box Settle and dating from around 1890. Constructed from solid oak and being profusely carved with shaped pediment to the top above a carved central back panel with carved eagle to each side of the panel. The armrests are curved and reeded on turned supports. It has a raised seat opening to reveal deep storage space above two carved lozenge panels. It is moulded to the base and is raised on stile feet.
